The Sadowsky MetroExpress 21-Fret Vintage J/J 5-String Bass delivers the legendary Sadowsky tone and playability in a more accessible package. Built with a lightweight okoume body and a roasted maple neck and fingerboard, this instrument offers excellent resonance, stability, and a fast, comfortable playing feel. At its core are two hum-cancelling stacked J-style pickups in a '60s spacing configuration, paired with Sadowsky's active 2-band preamp featuring a convenient push/pull bypass for pure passive tone. The 34" scale length and 21 nickel silver frets provide a classic feel, while the Sadowsky bridge with quick string release and lightweight open-gear tuners round out a carefully appointed hardware package that punches well above its price point.
