The Sadowsky MetroLine 22-Fret Will Lee Bass is a 5-string instrument born from the longtime collaboration between Roger Sadowsky and legendary Late Show bassist Will Lee, built in Germany to exacting standards. Featuring a chambered Red Alder body in a sleek, undersized J-style shape, this bass delivers a resonant, lightweight feel without sacrificing tone. The maple neck with Morado (Pau Ferro) fingerboard offers a smooth, fast-playing 22-fret experience, while the pair of passive Sadowsky J-style pickups paired with the custom Will Lee preamp — featuring a switchable mid-boost at 500 Hz or 800 Hz and push/pull preamp bypass — provide exceptional tonal versatility, from classic passive warmth to modern active punch.
