The Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Vintage M/J is a German-made 5-string bass that pairs a chambered swamp ash body with a sleek, undersized J-style design for a comfortable, lightweight playing experience. At its core, the M/J pickup configuration—a Sadowsky hum-cancelling stacked-coil J-style pickup at the neck and a Sadowsky M-style humbucker at the bridge—delivers a wide palette of tones, from classic single-coil growl to thick, punchy humbucker output, all routed through Sadowsky's active 2-way preamp with bass and treble boost and a Vintage Tone Control that lets you roll back to a passive-style warmth on the fly. Dual 3-way switching for each pickup adds further versatility with series, parallel, and single-coil options. The bolt-on maple neck features a comfortable C profile and 34-inch scale length, making it a professional-grade instrument equally at home in the studio and on stage.
