This Vintage Artist Dreadnought is a one-of-a-kind custom build that pairs a Moon Spruce top with dramatically figured quilted sapele back and sides. Santa Cruz borrowed several cues from their 1934 D program for this guitar, including an enlarged soundhole, a through-saddle bridge and an oversize Firestripe pickguard, while Adirondack bracing set with hot hide glue and the Vintage Artist's scalloped Advanced X pattern give the top a quick, open response. A round, low-profile mahogany neck, an unbound ebony headplate and a clean ebony fingerboard with only an SCGC logo at the 16th fret keep the look understated and let the wood do the talking. Handcrafted in Santa Cruz, California, it is a guitar built for players who want a powerful vintage-style dreadnought with a truly singular appearance.
