Roland RD-88EX Stage Piano
The Roland RD-88 EX is a professional stage piano that draws on five decades of Roland piano expertise to deliver an instrument built for the working musician. At its core, the SuperNATURAL piano and electric piano engines produce stunningly expressive acoustic and vintage electric piano tones, while the ZEN-Core sound engine opens up a vast library of over 3,000 additional sounds including organs, synths, strings, and brass. The included SuperNATURAL Acoustic Piano 3 expansion further enriches the acoustic piano palette with some of Roland's most detailed and responsive grand piano voices to date.
The 88-key PHA-4 Standard weighted keyboard features escapement and an Ivory Feel surface, delivering an authentic grand piano playing experience with natural hammer response across the full range. Three performance zones allow musicians to layer and split sounds freely, while an efficient front-panel layout makes it easy to recall scenes and dial in sounds quickly between songs.
The RD-88 EX doubles as a USB audio/MIDI interface for seamless studio integration, and a dedicated Apple MainStage control mode makes it an ideal centerpiece for computer-based live rigs. A built-in stereo speaker system provides room-filling sound for practice and informal performances, while built-in rhythms offer accompaniment for rehearsal and jamming. A microphone input lets vocalists run through the same output path for simplified stage setups. Weighing just 13.5 kg, the RD-88 EX is remarkably portable for a full-size stage piano, making it equally at home on tour, in the studio, or on the bandstand.
