The Audix OM2 is a hypercardioid dynamic vocal microphone designed for stage, home studio, and recording applications where clear, accurate vocal reproduction and strong gain-before-feedback are priorities. The proprietary VLM (Very Low Mass) diaphragm responds faster than standard dynamic capsules, capturing the natural transient detail of a vocalist's articulation without the muddiness common in lower-priced dynamics. The tight hypercardioid pattern delivers excellent off-axis rejection on loud stages, helping cut through the mix without feeding back.
