SKU: MPA-16-UThe Suzuki MPA-16-U Alto Metallophone is a 16-bar pitched-percussion instrument designed for classroom Orff Schulwerk programs and educational ensembles. The aluminum alloy bars produce a warm, sustained, bell-like tone, and the alto range covers the central two-octave register that supports harmonic and melodic work in the ensemble. Bars are removable for substitution and individual tuning, the resonator box reinforces and warms the sound, and the included pair of mallets makes the instrument playable straight out of the case.
