Built to work hand-in-hand with the free Middle Control software, it lets one operator handle pan, tilt, and zoom along with deeper camera parameters like ISO, white balance, tint, iris, focus, contrast, saturation, and white and black level — all from one professional desk-style controller instead of a juggle of joysticks and laptop windows. When paired with a Blackmagic Design ATEM, the Remote's displays stay synced to the switcher so the readouts always reflect what's actually on air, and it can be used either with Blackmagic cameras controlled through an ATEM or with Blackmagic cameras and supported DJI gimbals driven through the Middle Things APC-R. A natural fit for broadcast trucks, streaming setups, and houses of worship that want broadcast-style PTZ control over gimbal-mounted cinema cameras.
