The BOSS Katana Artist Gen 3 is a professional-grade 100-watt combo amplifier built around a custom 12-inch Waza speaker engineered to capture the warmth and complexity of classic British stacks. At its core, refined Tube Logic technology delivers six distinct amp characters — including the new "Pushed" voicing — each with a selectable variation, giving players a broad palette of tones from pristine cleans to saturated high-gain. The Bloom switch reshapes the amp's feel and touch response, while Power Control lets you dial in cranked-amp dynamics at manageable volumes.
Five independent effects sections — Booster, Mod, FX, Delay, and Reverb — are accessible right from the panel, with over 60 effect types available through the BOSS Tone Studio editor. A dedicated Solo section provides instant level boost and delay for stepping out of the mix. Eight onboard Tone Setting memories store complete amp and effects configurations for seamless recall between songs or sets.
The Katana Artist Gen 3 doubles as a versatile recording and connectivity hub. A USB-C output delivers IR-based cabinet-emulated tone directly to your DAW, while XLR and line outputs handle live sound duties. A Power Amp In jack welcomes external preamps and modelers, and the Stereo Expand function lets you link two amps for an immersive wide sound. MIDI input, expression pedal support, and Bluetooth compatibility round out a feature set designed to fit any stage, studio, or practice scenario.
