Iris ND-200 Burst Sitka - Cocobolo
The Iris ND-200 is a jumbo-bodied acoustic guitar designed by luthier Nick Durkee, built for players who demand bold volume and commanding projection. Its Sitka spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides delivers a powerful tonal foundation with deep lows and clear highs, well-suited to folk, country, blues, and rock playing styles. Scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing allows the top to vibrate freely for enhanced responsiveness, while the open-pore natural satin nitrocellulose finish keeps the wood acoustically alive without dampening resonance. Thoughtful vintage-inspired appointments — including tortoise binding and pickguard, brass open-back tuners with cream knobs, and a bone nut and saddle — give the ND-200 a classic aesthetic with reliable intonation and sustain. With its generous 17-inch lower bout, 25.5-inch scale length, and a comfortable 1-11/16" nut width, this guitar offers a big, room-filling voice that rewards both flat-pickers and strummers alike.
