Roland HandSonic HPD-20 Digital Percussion Pad
The Roland HandSonic HPD-20 is a digital hand percussion controller featuring 13 velocity-sensitive pads arranged in a circular layout, powered by Roland's SuperNATURAL sound engine for deeply expressive, realistic playing dynamics. With 850 built-in sounds spanning world percussion, melodic instruments, and electronic tones across 200 kits, it offers an enormous sonic palette right out of the box, and players can import their own WAV samples via USB for even more flexibility. The two largest pads respond to strike location for natural tonal variations, while the built-in D-BEAM controller lets you shape sounds and effects with simple hand movements above the unit. Three independent multi-effects engines, a real-time modify knob, and a dedicated roll button give performers intuitive, on-the-fly creative control whether on stage or in the studio. Comprehensive connectivity including MIDI, USB audio/MIDI for DAW integration, and trigger inputs for external pads makes the HPD-20 a versatile centerpiece for any percussion setup.
