The 13" playing surface is fitted with a hand-selected goatskin head that produces a wide tonal range, from deep, warm bass notes in the center to crisp, cutting slaps and tones at the edge. The traditional Mali Weave rope tuning system with pre-stretched nylon rope provides reliable, even tension across the head and makes it easy to fine-tune to your preferred pitch.
