The GS2 Semi Solid Export is the chambered version of Gordon Smith's thick-bodied GS platform, built to full export specification. A 5A quilted maple top over a chambered mahogany body cuts the weight and opens up the resonance, with the binding scraped by hand on the top and headstock. The mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard run the thin GS profile, and a bridge humbucker paired with a neck P90 covers weight and bite at one end and clear, expressive cleans at the other, through a CTS loom and GOTOH 510 hardware. Lava is a hot orange-red that shows the quilt figure through the colour. Hand-built in England.
