Designed for the 2025 NAMM Show, the Bedell Fireside Parlor in European spruce and flamed bigleaf maple is a rare, heirloom-grade instrument built for players and collectors who appreciate both tonal brilliance and visual artistry. The European spruce top offers exceptional clarity and responsiveness with bell-like highs and a well-defined midrange, while the flamed maple back and sides contribute a crisp, focused voice with a strong fundamental and an even decay that is ideal for intricate fingerstyle work and the studio. Bedell's deep-body parlor shape gives it surprising projection for its size, with hand-voiced Adirondack bracing, a compound tapered dovetail neck joint and a comfortable 25-inch scale. A hand-applied brown violin stain brings out the dramatic figure in the maple, figured maple Fireside detailing frames the body, and a Nouveau-inspired back inlay adds a final touch of surprise to this remarkable small-bodied guitar.
