Fairbanks FLG Standard
With a size and depth that slots perfectly between the F-20 and F-35, the F-LG is a powerful mid-sized guitar. Originally introduced in 1942, my recreation of this versatile guitar retains its classical-inspired body profile and slightly increased depth for more internal volume, and builds on it with a lightly braced top and back, utilizing a straight braced red spruce X with scalloped tone bars. Mahogany back and sides and hot hide glue construction contribute to the F-LG’s strong midrange and unparalleled headroom.
One might say there is no perfect guitar, but then one hasn’t played an F-LG.
