What sets the E8OM apart is Eastman's Thermo-Cure process — the spruce top is heat-treated in an oxygen-free kiln, cooking off natural oils, sugars, and resins to replicate decades of aging. The result is a more resonant, open-sounding instrument right out of the case, with the warm, played-in character typically found only in vintage guitars. Hand-carved scalloped X-bracing further enhances the guitar's responsiveness and dynamic range, while the mahogany neck with a comfortable traditional "C" profile and silky ebony fingerboard deliver effortless playability.
