The Legacy Large Soundhole Dreadnought takes one of Dana Bourgeois's most celebrated designs — dreadnought construction in Adirondack spruce and Madagascar rosewood — and opens up the voice further with an enlarged soundhole that increases volume, airiness, and tonal breadth. The aged tone Adirondack spruce top brings the responsiveness and complexity of vintage-style materials to a new build, working in concert with the exotic depth of Madagascar rosewood to produce a guitar that feels broken in from the first strum.
