At its heart are two groupings of three pre-tuned micro-coiled cajon strings, hand-wound in the tradition of master cajon builder José "Pepote" Hernández Diaz, producing crisp, articulate snare response that can be fine-tuned via two hex screws on the rear panel. The textured composite body provides a natural anti-slip surface, while ergonomically rounded corners, thumb notches, and a convex frontplate ensure playing comfort during extended sessions. Soft silicone feet decouple the cajon from the floor for improved resonance and stability, and elegant heat-branding on the resonating body adds a refined finishing touch to this handcrafted Spanish instrument.
