Bedell 1964 Orchestra Guitar Adirondack Spruce/Honduran Mahogany - Espresso Finish
SKU: 64-O-AD/HM-Esp (W)The Bedell 1964 Orchestra in Espresso captures the spirit of the guitars that soundtracked the folk revival, built by hand in Bedell's Bend, Oregon shop with the same care and attention that defined instrument making's golden era. An Adirondack spruce top delivers the dynamic headroom and punch that let it go from a whisper to a full strum without breaking up, while Honduran mahogany back and sides give it a dry, woody warmth with a thick bottom end, a rich midrange and a controlled top end. The orchestra body sits comfortably in the lap and balances fingerstyle clarity with plenty of strumming power, and the espresso burst finish, tortoise binding and antique brass open-gear tuners give it an unmistakably vintage look. A workshop-installed K&K Pure Mini pickup carries that natural voice to the stage without feedback, and like every Bedell it is built from ethically sourced tonewoods traceable through Bedell's Seed-to-Song program.
