The Bowman is Auden's reading of the classic orchestra model, fine-tuned with tapered sides that give it far more front-end presence than the body size suggests. This 632 version shortens the scale to 632mm, easing the tension under the fingers without costing projection — a balance that earned the 632 series 9/10 and a Guitarist Choice award in Guitarist magazine in September 2024. A cedar top over rosewood back and sides gives it a warm, quick-responding voice with real depth behind it, and the Bowman's comfortable playing position has long made it a favourite among electric players moving across to acoustic, with enough definition to hold its own in a band. Auden work through a network of luthiers across the UK, America and China, pairing timbers sourced worldwide with Swiss-made electronics — an international, bench-grade approach that puts genuinely hand-built guitars within reach.
