Ms. Meka Nism is a GRAMMY ® Nominated Artist (with Alice Cooper's Rock for Children band) and multiple award-winning vocalist, songwriter, emcee and stage performer best known for her dynamic presence as frontwoman/ founder of the melodic metal band, Meka Nism. She has toured across the US, playing with top metal and rock bands and festivals to singing her original opera metal compositions at Carnegie Hall in NYC. Internationally, she has also played and recorded “The War Inside” album in Germany and has performed over 150 shows across Japan as an acoustic avante-garde artist and with J-pop/punk group, Origami Girls. In 2025, Ms. Meka Nism was invited to Beijing, China to present and perform her masterclass series talking about alternative approaches to music education and wellness. Meka is Internationally and locally recognized by press and honors including the Songwriter Showcase of America - Most Original Style Songwriter Awards & Best Experimental Song Award, Going Kobe! Band Award, Orlando Weekly Best Of - Metal Act, Florida Songwriters Association, the World Entertainment Awards, Best Professor Award- Music Program Beidou Stars Beijing and, placing on Billboard and iTunes charts and receiving a Services to Humanity award from the UF Medical Department with Chris Redding for his GRAMMY® Nominated project honoring neurodiversity. Ms. Meka Nism currently serves as a National Trustee of the Recording Academy/GRAMMYs ® and on Local AFM 389 executive board supporting our incredible music community
